Northants CALC held its annual board meeting yesterday and Richard Lewis was re-elected Chairman and Peter Byng was re-elected Vice Chairman.
The meeting welcomed Mike Scott as a new director filling the vacancy left by the resignation of Michael Heaton in August. Mike was immediately appointed as Internal Controls Director for 2016.

Driving or walking through Kislingbury in Northamptonshire is an interesting experience at the moment. There are signs everywhere advertising the Neighbourhood Plan consultation, which started on 26 October 2015.
The boards say
"Kislingbury Parish - Neighbourhood Development Plan"
"Consultation period October 26th to December 11th"

The 68th Northants CALC AGM was the best ever both in terms of attendance and in feedback from delegates.
125 delegates and almost 140 people in total packed into the council chamber at The Forum in Towcester. See the AGM page for all the details.

The day is nearly here... it's the 68th Northants CALC Annual General Meeting!
We have had an unprecedented number of bookings this year so thank you to all the clerks and councillors that will be making their way to Towcester tomorrow, 17 October 2015.

The government has made funding available to assist parish councils to achieve compliance with the Transparency Code. A fund of £3.4 million over three years will be administered on behalf of government by the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and delivered through County Associations (CALCs).
