It's been a bit of a challenge to keep up to date with what's happening with Northamptonshire's libraries. They're closing, they're not closing, the opening hours are being cut, they're not being cut, they're closing now, they're not closing until next year!
The definitive position will hopefully emerge at the Northamptonshire County Council (NCC) Cabinet meeting today.

The Litchborough office is closed today, Friday 2 March 2018, due to impassable local roads. Staff are working from home and have access to email so please get in touch that way. Normal service is expected to resume on Monday.

Rural businesses could be eligible for a Growth Programme grant if your business is carrying out a project to create jobs or bring more money into the rural economy.
There are 3 types of grant:
- Business development
- Food processing
- Rural tourism infrastructure

A national pay offer for local government employees has been announced. The National Employers organisation has made a "final" pay offer to the NJC local government unions which will be considered at a meeting on 13 December 2017 as part of the national negotiations.
