Funding Awareness and Bid Writing
Is your Council thinking of applying for grant funding? Don't know where to start with writing a bid/submitting an application? Want to know how your council could increase its income way beyond the precept? Then this is the perfect course for you.
Through this session we will demystify the jargon surrounding the grant funding process and enable councils to successfully bid for and receive grant funding. We will look at community funding, the sorts of money available to Town and Parish Councils, what projects are eligible and how much funding is available. To understand the different funding options that are available including regular and ad hoc funding streams.
Where the council is not eligible to apply for funding this course will explain how partnership working can be used to enhance eligibility.
The end of the session will include an in-depth practical session with useful hints and tips to boost bid writing skills and what should be included to help augment chances of funding approval.

This course is for clerks and Councillors as well as other members of staff who are involved in projects requiring external funding.
